Good mostly woodland walk from Effingham Junction to Dorking. Halfway through we stopped at Polesden Lacey (National Trust property) for a look round and some cake, before continuing onto the North Downs way for the final stretch. Polesden Lacey was as lavish as expected for the home of the great Edwardian high society party, hosted by Margaret Greville. A nice, clear, crisp autumnal day made for a good walking day, if a bit clarty underfoot.
